A weekend away. I am on a RL vacation. I just spend 4 nights camping in the wilderness. Perfect forest atmosphere for a wood elf :) Luckily, while away from a network connection, I met a lvl 61 rogue! He just got Planes of Power and is in an active raiding guild named Fusion on the Tunare server. Sitting by the campfire we talked about Everquest until the sun came up. He had many tips and ideas for us that I'm anxious to bring up to the officers.
While I was away, I understand we got a new member. Everyone help me welcome Kikichu Lvl 22 Iksar monk.

We are starting to grow! That's great for everyone. The more members we have, the stronger we are as a family. The stronger we are, the more successful we will be in our soon to be announced raids. The new raid commands have been implemented to allow multiple groups to share in the experience earned during a raid. This new enhancement should be a great help during guild events. Great news everybody! This website is undergoing a facelift. Be looking for a change soon. We will be keeping all the same features including TacticsPage by Verantu Elvenwood, and TradeSkillCorner by Vizviz. The OurStories area is for member submitted screenshots and stories. If you submit screenshots, please convert to .jpg and be sure to include a caption or short story to go along with it. New features will include a Recruits section that will outline each of the class/race specific quests required for each new member.
While these new changes are under construction be sure to post your input on the BulletinBoard that's where you will find the latest game related news.

Summary of topics discussed in the officers meeting tonight.
1. Consideration of new recruits 'Hatebreede', Dark Elf ShadowKnight and 'Vaxkarin'(sp), friend of Dragoa, also Dark elves. I hope we don't give in to the dark side :) These two will be the first recruits since Jobon the Ranger. We hope to get to know each of them during the next week or two.
2. Vixerean was elected 'Branded Recruitment Officer'. If you have a friend or trusted player that you would like to be in Branded, be sure to get them in touch with Vixerean.
3. Alternate characters of current guild members will now be held to the same level requirement as new members. The lowest level for any character entering Branded will be 15.
4. Channels open to branded members for use while playing alternates not yet in guild will be officially named 'branded' and during raids will be named 'brandedraid'. To join a chat channel in game type /join <channelname> .
5. Branded Raid Coordinators Verantu and Hevak, will be holding a raid for all guild members with characters in there upper teens and lower 20's. We will be raiding The Befallen, a dungeon of undead nasties with good drops and plenty of experience gaining fun! Raid will happen this coming Sunday, September 1st at 1pm eastern time. Please check bulletin board for details.
6. The use of /anon will no longer be allowed. If you would like to hide your level, race and class, please use /roleplay. This way you will always be wearing your 'Branded' tag and will show up with the /who guild all command.
7. A chain of command for the officers has been established so that if needed, the ranking officer will have final say on matters needing quick resolution.

The new issue of TradeSkillCorner has arrived! Blacksmithing is the topic of this issue, and I for one will be anxious to start this skill. (Rusko has avoided anything that requires much thinking) Thanks to Vizviz for another great article!

Well I have heard that we are looking for a few good recruits. So if you have any friends or know anyone who is particularly trustworthy and plays well, we want to hear about them. Suggest new guild recruits to one of the officers for consideration. Don't worry if they don't get inducted right away, we are being particularly careful not to allow anyone who might abuse guild privileges. Potential guild recruits will have to be screened by an officer prior to guild invite.

Rusko and Vixerean Elvenwood would like to thank all those who made it to the wedding event. It was a small ceremony with a few close friends and guild members. Afterwards we all had Elven Wine and Halas Heaters, and a few duels for prizes. Here are a few screenshots of the ceremony.

Organized Duels and Free For All Duels will be held for guild members and friends directly after the wedding. Prizes will be awarded. We will all probably be drunk, Elven Wine and other drinks will be available. If you plan on participating in the duels you should bind at the gate when you arrive at the Arena. Also no DOT spells during duels, could cause experience loss. Should be a real good time. Come early and stay late!

Wedding Announcement

Hooray for Verantu! He got the first part of his Rallic Pack quest completed by camping the Grimling Runner in Tenebrous Mountains. Now for the hard part, camping owlbears for a perfect pelt in Hollowshade Moor. Many thanks to Vixerean for her quest knowledge and the buffs and heals.

Congratulations on the marriage of Vasudeva and Genainyer Fireblade. It was a quick wedding, after which presents were exchanged and ale was consumed
Last night we had our first meeting under our new leadership. Many Issues were discussed. It was a very productive meeting that was necessary to establish direction and define guild policy. Much of the meeting would be boring to most, so I've listed just a couple of the topics discussed.
A guild bank has been established and will be accessible only to guild officers, so if you have something to deposit, you may do so with any officer.
New Guild Invites have been closed for now. We are establishing a method of recruitment that will ensure trustworthy and loyal guild membership. More on this topic to come.
An attempt to establish an accurate roster of all guild members is rigorously underway. If you have not posted on the Bulletin Board please do so now. This will help keep the roster current. Also if you have not created your GuildMagic account please do this.

Please welcome our newest officer Verantu Elvenwood , 42 Woodelf Druid. Verantu has been playing EQ since the early beta test server days, and has some really great ideas for group tactics and solo strategies. I know he will make a great asset to the guild. He is Rusko Elvenwood's in game brother, and my personal RL friend.
Officer's Meeting
Our first official officer meeting since Sobasik's leadership will be held in game on Monday, 29 July 2002, at 8pm Eastern. Be sure to have topics and questions in mind. Hopefully this will become a weekly ritual :)

The new user interface is here! Type /newui in game then log out, exit the program and restart EQ. Then be sure to visit the Bazaar in Luclin and use the commands /bazaar to shop and /trader to sell.

Well, I haven't worked much on this website. I've been having too much fun in game. We've had a few new faces to meet and greet. I was glad that Dragoa, the dark elf, got rescued from Crushbone, and taken back safely to his homeland in Nektulos Forrest. Thanks to Hevak the great druid. Also Woodeye has a new outfit!
Since the servers are down I thought I'd update the page. Check on server status here , at the bottom of their page.
Still looking for suggestions for guild activities and ideas for 'your' website :) Don't be afraid to email me with any crazy idea you may have. It just might be fun. All suggestions will be forwarded to Sobasik and officers for review and possibly scheduling.

A word from our new leader:
HOWDY BRANDED. I, Sobasik, hope I can serve Branded as well as it has served
me in the past. I have been having nothing but fun playing EQ, building up my skills
and leveling my various characters, Sobasic (Gnome Enchanter), Sobasixx (Troll
Shaman), Sobasica (Human Wizard), Sobasik (Dwarf Paladin) and Sobatobaiosis
(Human Druid). My son has a lvl-51 Dwarf Paladin (Khryss), that he will make available
in game, to anyone who needs help. He really knows his dungeons, so he can usually
get you to where you want to go. I guess it is time to give back to Branded all it has
given to me. You are welcome to call me Sob or Soba, whichever you feel most
comfortable with. Rusko is our new website administrator, so send in your stuff. I want
to thank Ylushiun for all he did at the old website and am very sorry to see him leave
Branded. I wish him well with his move to other endeavors and hope that he will come
and join us once in awhile. I have appointed Whalen and Rusko as guild officers.
I believe that Hevak and Gondomir are still playing and are officers. Xunik is an officer,
but he is mothballed for awhile. Not sure if there are any other members that are officers,
if there are, please contact me, so I know who is what. It has been suggested to me and
I do concur, that Vix and Viz become officers, but I need to talk to them and see if they
will agree. I still need to get administration level access at GuildMagic.com, so that
website will still be lagging for a bit. Don't hesitate to visit the Branded BBS and leave
suggestions and observations that you feel may be useable by any of our members.
Again, I am honored to be your new leader. Please feel free to make suggestions to
me about guild goings on in game or on the BBS. Let the SMOOSHIN' begin

Today Sobasik was appointed guild leader. His first official act as leader was to appoint a web page administrator. That role was taken on by me, Rusko. I hope to keep updates current and relevant.
